Summary:  Getting in is hard. Staying in is harder...

Joining social network Populatti.com let sixteen-year-old Livi Stanley trade her awkward middle school past for the social life of her dreams. Because Populatti isn't just a social network. It's a club, providing access to friends. Parties. And Livi's crush, star baseball player Brandon Dash.

Yet lately, online rumors have been threatening Livi's place in the group. And not even her friends are doing much to stop them. Leaving Livi to prove them wrong, and fast. Before her life as a popster is over.

Review:  I received a copy of this novel from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion, and it was an okay read. I usually don't read novels where the main character is under 18 or 17 because the characters seem to be juvenile, however that wasn't the case with this novel. The main character,  Livi Stanley, is turning 16, and she seems to be worrying about the latest comment about her on a social media site, Populatti.com. Populatti.com is a site that was created and ran by Livi's friend, Crystal, in hopes of using it as her portfolio for MIT. As the story goes along, Livi must deal with gossip, rumors, and everything else that goes along with being in high school. This novel was a quick read, however, I did find it a little hard to get into. Overall, the novel was okay. I haven't been a Sophomore in high school in over five years, so it was a little hard for me to relate to Livi and her friends. However, for a younger audience, I think the author did an amazing job getting the story across (although the ending was kind of abrupt). I do believe that I would recommend this novel to younger readers that are looking for a read that's not too kiddish, but not too grownish.
