Interview with London Casey

Q. What inspired the plot for your series, The Boys of DownCrash series?

I wanted to write about three guys in a band who had deep, dark, and wild pasts. I wanted them to have the music holding them together and then bring in romance. Of course, the women in the books have their own secrets and demons to battle. The series proves that love can conquer anything.

Q. At what age did you realize writing was something you wanted to pursue?

Probably when I was 15 or 16. I had a poetry / creative writing class in high school and was forced to really examine myself and my feelings. It became fun to write so I kept at it.

Q. Describe your writing ritual.

I write when the words come to me. It’s great. Whether I write on the laptop, the iPad, or even a notebook, nothing stops me.

Q. What are your writing goals for 2013?

To release the final book in The Boys of DownCrash series – Some Kind of Hell (due mid July 2013). Then I have a secret collaboration project with another bestselling author. I’m really excited for this one.

Q. What is your favorite thing to munch on while writing?

Pretzels and BBQ chips.

Q. What book(s) are you currently reading?

I recently grabbed a couple books at a yard sale… The Scent of Murder and Fugitive Family

Q. What can your fans expect next?

Well, The Boys of DownCrash will finish up in July and then it’ll be my secret collaboration project.

Q. What advice do you have for aspiring authors?

I have to be cliché… WRITE. Just keep writing until something works.
